Monday Links & News: Web Design, Business Blogging, and More

Posted on July 28th, 2008

Our SEO division posts a list of links every weekend with the latest news in search engine optimization and internet marketing; so we decided that our web design company needs to get in on the fun and share our favorite links once a week.  Here is this week’s list:

A positive attitude does help businesses get ahead, but will imagining a bigger market actually make your market bigger?  Guy Kawasaki makes a leap of logic that manages to make sense and inspire.

There are a couple great new articles up on Work.com, including What to Look for in Your Next Logo or Corporate Identity Design and a Guide to Getting Your First (or Latest) Website - we especially the emphasis on the value of good design - after all, you can’t put a price tag on a great, memorable logo.

Mogulette-in-the-Making has a fantastic post on the Value of Blogging - if you are a small business owner and hesitant about starting a blog, read this and you’ll be raring to go and join the blogging community, because blogging can bring tremendous value and visibility to your brand.

On a related note, Junta42 has a list of 10 questions to ask yourself before you start a blog.

Speaking of the value of being visible online, Lip-Sticking has written about why being featured in an online article is usually preferable than being mentioned in print (although that doesn’t hurt either).

Have a great week!
